The short version

This is the personal website of Josiah Rininger. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy. The site is provided as it is, the writing and images on it are mine, and if you want to reuse something, ask me. That is most of it.

Using the site

You are welcome to read, link to and share these pages. Please do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or the private admin area behind it, and do not scrape it in a way that degrades it for anyone else.

Content and ownership

The text, photographs, video stills, press materials and design on this site belong to me unless noted otherwise. Quoting a short passage with a link back is fine. Republishing a page, a video still or a photograph in full, or using anything here in an advertisement or an AI training corpus, requires my written permission first. Third-party names, logos and trademarks that appear here, including studios, brands and platforms, belong to their respective owners and appear as references to coverage, not as endorsements.

The contact form

Messages you send through the contact form reach my email inbox. Please do not send confidential, sensitive or legally privileged material through it. Sending a message does not create a business relationship, and I may not reply to every message.

No warranty

The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. I do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and I do not guarantee that everything on it is current. Statistics, coverage figures and dates are accurate as of the date shown next to them and change over time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or from anything you relied on here.

Links to other sites

This site links to other places, including studios, festivals, app stores and my own projects. I do not control those sites and am not responsible for their content or their practices.

My apps and projects

The apps I publish have their own terms, which govern those apps rather than this site. See the LeanScore Terms of Use as the example. These terms cover the website only.

Privacy

What the site collects, which is very little, is described on the privacy page.

Changes

I may update these terms. If I do, the effective date above changes with them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
