Privacy Policy

Plotmoji (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a daily movie guessing game built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.

The short version

• No account. You never sign up or give us your name, email, or any personal details.
• Your game data (puzzles solved, streaks, settings) stays on your device.
• The only data that leaves your device comes from Google AdMob, which serves the optional “watch an ad” rewards, plus a single small config file we fetch to set the daily puzzle and feature flags.

Data stored on your device

Your progress, streak, statistics, and preferences are saved locally on your device, and shared with the Plotmoji Home Screen widget through an app group on that same device. We do not run a server that stores your game data, and we cannot see it.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Plotmoji offers optional rewarded ads: you may choose to watch a short video ad to reveal a hint or to earn a streak freeze. Ads are never forced, never shown as banners or pop-ups, and never interrupt the daily puzzle. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure them, the AdMob SDK may collect:

• a device identifier,
• advertising data and in-app interaction data related to the ads,
• coarse (city-level) location,
• diagnostic data such as crash and performance information.

Plotmoji serves non-personalized (contextual) ads and does not ask to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Google’s use of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s advertising terms.

In-app purchase

Plotmoji offers an optional one-time “Plotmoji Plus” purchase that grants hints and freezes instantly, so you never need to watch an ad. Purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or precise location.
• We show only optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch, never banners or interstitials.
• The app makes no network calls other than to the Google AdMob service and the single daily config file.

Children

Plotmoji is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent version.
